Granby Ranch Wedding | Elle + Zach

Elle and Zach knew they wanted to get married in the Rocky Mountains of Grand County. Some of their first memories as a couple were camping in Grand Lake for the 4th of July with all of their friends. After meeting at the gym and spending 5.5 years together, they decided to host their boho chic mountain wedding at Granby Ranch. It felt the most true to their personalities and they knew the views from the Vista Ridge mountaintop ceremony site would wow their out of state guests.

Elle’s bridesmaids were stunning in verona cowl champagne luxe satin dresses by ShowmeyourMumu. Bouquets by The Stalk Market complimented the dresses by adding texture and color to create the chic, boho bouquets of the bride’s dreams.

Elle truly wowed in her stunning Miss Poppy dream dress by Anais Anette and Zach and his groomsmen looked so dapper in their rented black suites from Black Tux. It was clear to see all day how much they loved being surrounded by those they loved. Elle’s favorite part of the day was immediately after they got married. They walked back down the aisle into the aspen trees and celebrated and hugged all of their closest family and friends. She said it was surreal! Zach’s favorite part was being last to come down the chair lift into the reception! It was such a special moment for them to see all of their guests waiting for them at the bottom of the mountain.

Elle wanted the day to represent Zach and her, and their relationship. She nixed a lot of wedding traditions that truly just didn’t feel like them! Elle raved about their amazing vendors who helped them create their dream wedding day. “From our photographer, Bridget, our DJ, TeNeil our wedding planner, Granby Ranch and head chef Lianna (with the most amazing taco bar there ever was), Becky with the Stalk Market, and many more; we had the most amazing vendors”. In addition, Elle and Zach we so grateful for their family and inner circle, who put so much time and effort into making the day wonderful. Elle and Zach’s love story wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t share how Zach popped the question. Spoiler alert, it was perfect!

“Zach asked me to marry him in my hometown of Chicago on Labor Day Weekend 2019. We were meeting our friends that morning for a boat ride on Lake Michigan with a stunning view of the city. It’s one of our favorite places to visit! I truly thought nothing of it when Zach was frantically worried about being late (this isn’t out of the ordinary). He was also extremely protective of his backpack (of course this is where he was hiding the ring), and when my parents dropped me off, they didn’t even hug me goodbye! I was like, “dang, I guess I’ll see you at Thanksgiving!” We got on the boat and started drinking mimosas. One of the crew members asked, “Do you guys care if we take pictures for our website?” With no hesitation I said yes, (still no idea this was all planned so he could capture the moment). About 30 minutes in, the captain told us it was too windy to make it out to the Playpen. He asked if it was ok to anchor right there. Zach asked me if I wanted to go around to the bow of the boat. I jumped up right away and climbed my way over to the front. I remember looking up to see the photographer and our friends taking pictures as I jokingly said “No paparazzi!” I even did the iconic titanic pose because I clearly had no idea Zach was about to propose LOL. I turned around and he was already on his knee with teary eyes. I was completely in shock. My jaw dropped and I can’t remember to this day what he said. All I remember saying was “Are you serious?!” He was even brave enough to take out the ring as the boat was rocking back and forth in the wind. I really couldn’t believe it. We popped even more champagne and celebrated all weekend long. My parents and family ended up surprising us at brunch after and we got to bar hop around Chicago the rest of the day. The next day we went to Zach’s first cubs game at Wrigley Field, a spectacular steak dinner and sang karaoke until 3am. Truly the best weekend ever!”

I truthfully felt overwhelmed at times and TeNeil was able to calm my nerves and hop on a call, reply to a late night text, etc. Still to this day, I don’t know how she does it!
